Anneka has considerable experience in managing musculoskeletal injuries and has worked within the field of sports medicine for many years. She completed a BSc degree in Sports Therapy in 2008 and a post-graduate diploma in Sport and Exercise Rehabilitation in 2012. After a further 2 years of studying to develop and consolidate her clinical and rehabilitation skills, she was awarded a Masters degree with distinction in Physiotherapy from the University of Essex.

Anneka's pathway into the physiotherapy profession has enabled her to gain valuable skills and experience working across a variety of traditional and non-traditional therapeutic settings including sports injury clinics, sports teams, occupational health environments and university lecturing. She has also gained further qualifications in acupuncture, kinesio taping and sports massage. Alongside her role at The Physiotherapy Academy, Anneka works as a physiotherapist in the NHS and runs hydrotherapy classes for the National Ankylosing Spondylitis Society.

Anneka is a member of the Health and Care Professions Council, Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports and Exercise Medicine. In her spare time Anneka plays for a local netball club and is partial to the odd game of badminton!
